The Day the Mourners Became Missionaries

Passage: Mark 16:1-8

Have you been there? You call yourself a Christian, in the church Sunday, but you know what you did this week, maybe last night, what you thought, what you've been doing. And you say, "If they only knew what I've been doing." We fall short of the righteous life God intended. So if anyone feels like they don't belong here this morning, like everyone else is so Godly, don't be fooled. We're all sinners here, with one special gift - the gift of forgiveness. If you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, you're a sinner, but you're saved by the grace and forgiveness of God. The resurrection is your key, your path, your way to eternal life with Jesus forever. The resurrection, is in fact, for those who've failed.

People search for joy and try to fill that void and that search for forgiveness in so many ways. And when they finally come to the giver of life, to the God that created them, and find out that He has forgiven you for all the times you rejected Him, you abandoned Him, that you didn't acknowledge Him and live for Him. Even though He made you, He protected you, He's carried you your whole life. Whether you believe Him or not, He forgives you. That's what grace is. It's the most precious gift the Word of God reveals - that God loves you in sprite of you. You cannot make yourself unlovable.
