Passage: Acts 8:26-40
I don't take it personally, people say, "Pastor, when I come here, I feel bad about myself." And I tell them, "Good! Someone who loves you, if they see you doing something that is going to rob you of God's peace and joy and love and the very best life you can live if you're living in sin. If I really loved and cared about you, I'm going to say to you, "This is why the love is flawed in your life, this is why the hope is unreachable, there is where the desperation is born out of, this is where the fear and anxiety comes from that plagues you. This is where the addiction comes from. It comes from your sin. And if I teach the Word of God, it's God telling you, "Stop." It's God telling you, "This is the reason." And we can't disagree. It's our job to say, "Really? You know that makes sense. It's hard to heart the truth about myself. I do that. God's right." No surprise there. And God knows ... no surprise. And God has an answer - that should not surprise you. God has the best life for you.
