Blessed Benefits of Believing God

Passage: Hebrews 11:1-14

"As they're going up the mountain, is Issac thinking, as they're going up the mountain, "Am I the sacrifice?" We don't know what he's thinking, but eventually he finds out. But think about a mountain, on one side of the mountain is Abraham and Issac going up the mountain in obedience to God. Now on the other side of the mountain, what's happening simultaneously? God has a ram walking up the other side of the mountain. God had a plan. They can't see the other side of the mountain. But there's a ram that is going to be the sacrifice God has already provided - BUT THEY CAN'T SEE THAT. You have to be on that side of obedience. Do you trust God?

"And so walking by faith and not by sight is a requirement of the Christian life. Do you know that? It is in the DNA of a Christian to walk by faith and not by sight. Why? Because, as Christians, we walk and we move to a different drum beat than the world does. When they look at us, they should be like, 'What are you doing? What are you talking about? Why are you doing that? That makes no sense.' That's a good place to be with God."
