Passage: Philippians 1:23-30
"You ever hear anyone say, 'They're so heavenly minded that they're of no earthly good?' They'll say, 'All he cares about is the church, and reading the Bible, and he's missing out on what's going on around here.' Let me tell you something - here's what I think is true, we can be so earthly minded that we're of no heavenly good. We can be so consumed with our own desires, our own ambitions, our own plans, that we're no good in the spiritual realm. Because we're planting roots here. We're looking for heaven here. What happens if you find heaven on earth? They're not gonna want heaven up there. You can be so earthly minded that you're of no heavenly good. But I don't believe as believers that you can be so heavenly minded that you're of no earthly good. If we are constantly thinking about the next life, about eternity. If we're constantly intrigued and always consumed with thoughts of heaven. That will change the way you act and think. So here's the question this morning: what dominates your thought process, your thoughts and goals for life? What are you craving for, Christian?"
