Passage: THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO ST. JOHN John 19:12-37
These scourging is in here, these whippings are in here, these slappings are in here, these tortures are in here, these mockings are in here, this crucifixion is in here, the stabbing of the spear is in here, putting nails through each hand and through the feet is in here, so that we can BELIEVE and RECEIVE the grace that He did. This is grace! So that we can enter into a place with the Lord for all eternity. God can see the end to the beginning, there was no other way. He tried it! We saw it in the Old Testament, we saw it how many times that God makes a way for His people but they're stiff-necked, they're rebellious, they're disobedient. A little disobedience leads to giants in your life and God needs to do an intervention. The cross is God's intervention for His people! His plan for us will never be thwarted, and that's what the cross represents.
