Passage: Psalms 27:1-14
And in those places, we get so heavy on the focus - the Satan-heavy focus. And we start to think about what Satan is going to do or how he is going to operate in our lives. We say, "These are the ways Satan is going to come after us." And that puzzles me because no where in God's Word does it say, "Focus on the things that Satan is going to do and God will take you through it." Because what it says is, "Focus on the things that God is - He's my light, He's my salvation, He's my strength" and that's where I get my power. And if I'm operating in that light, that salvation, and that strength, then the enemy can't touch me. It doesn't matter because you are wholly surrendered unto God!
The cross wasn't free. And I'm here because that wasn't free. And because that wasn't free, I'm going to operate in the freedom that brings me. Because that freedom came at a very high price. Jesus had to come down and live a sinless, perfect life and took the cross for all of us. It wasn't the Romans that put Jesus on the cross. It wasn't the Jews that put Him up there. It was our sin that put Him up there. And what did Jesus say? "Forgive them, they don't know what they're doing. Keith Fiandaca can't handle himself. He put me up here. Forgive him, for he knows not what he does..."
