Passage: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
You are not your own! You are not your own. I'm gonna say it a bunch of times because I hope that resonates in my mind and in your minds as you leave today. You are not your own. Well whose are you? You were bought with a price, you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own. We are His! And he didn't have to place a low bid to get you. He paid more than anyone else thought you were worth. Does that strike you this morning? I was thinking about that this week. 'I'm worth that much to you, Lord? That you chose me, not because I was perfect and wonderful, you chose me because I was your son, I was a future occupant of Heaven. To be in your presence forever.' So what should be our reaction? Paul says, so then honor and glorify God with you body. Think about it, do we use our lives to advance God's glory or our own glory?
