You don't realize what you're doing. God lets us get to a place where we are ice cold in our relationship with Him. There's no connection anymore. He allows that to happen because sometimes it's the wake up call we need. Why do I feel so depressed, why do I feel so alone, why am I flailing, why am I looking into the world for all kinds of solutions? When God all along has been here saying, "It's because you've walked away from your first love. Return to Me."
