Passage: Isaiah 55:6-7
"Please think hard about this question - Do you think you are here today because you chose to be here? Do you think you're here today in the House of God, whether you've been coming here for years, or your first time coming here, do you think you're here because of you? Well, let's do a reality check. Here's what Paul wrote to the church at Rome, Romans 3:11 'There is none who understand, there is none who seeks after God.' Listen, outside of what the Holy Spirit opens our mind to understand, we would never understand our need to come to God. In the natural man, outside of the spiritual indwelling of the Holy Spirit who does motivate us, who does teach us, who does lead us, the natural man does not seek after God. Without God, we never come, we never think of Him, we don't want Him. 1 Corinthians 2:14 'But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.'"
