Passage: THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO ST. JOHN John 18:15-27

What made Peter cry? When he looked into Jesus's eyes, he didn't see judgment, he didn't see anger. He saw mercy. He saw love. He saw forgiveness. And it crushed him, the same way it would crush you and me. That's the same merciful and loving Jesus whose arms are wide open to you today saying, "Come, come unto me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. I have the peace you have been searching for your whole life. Don't look at me and be fearful. I died for you because I love you and I want all of you. Not a hobby, not 'squeeze me in on Sunday mornings' - I want you every hour of every day." That's what the Lord wants of me and of you.
