Passage: John 12:1-8

Mary takes her jar of perfume. The only way for her to get the contents of that vessel, is to snap off the neck. The vessel is now destroyed, and once that happens, there's no way to conserve what is in there. She is making a decision knowing that there is no way to conserve it. She is going to unleash her most precious commodity on Jesus. She's aware, that once she breaks the neck of the jar, there's no way to preserve the contents - all of the contents has to be expelled. And she makes a decision to give all of it to the one that is worthy of it - her Savior Jesus.

Does our Savior get what's best, or what's left? Do we give him the scraps? In my house, my dog gets my scraps. Should my Savior get my scraps after I've expelled my best on myself?
